The Department of Health (DoH) announced on Friday the temporary closure of two healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi due to multiple violations.
One of the facilities, a one-day surgery centre, was shuttered because of serious breaches that “pose a significant threat to the health and safety of our community members,” according to the DoH.
Another facility, a medical centre, is under investigation for alleged financial irregularities.
The DoH has emphasized the need for health establishments in the emirate to adhere to its guidelines and regulations. It further stressed the importance of offering services in line with the best international standards.
