Big UAE community festival returns in Nov — youth pageant, music and celebrity guest lined up

The UAE’s largest year-end community celebration is set to return in 2025 as the Shukran Festival marks its third edition, bringing a month-long program dedicated to culture, youth empowerment and gratitude. This year’s festival will take place at Sahara Centre in Sharjah, running every weekend from November 15 to December 13, 2025.

The annual celebration, organized by Infinite Communities in partnership with Manny Johnson Production, The Filipino Channel (TFC), Sahara Centre, and Penz Global, is expected to bring together thousands of families, artists and community advocates from across the Emirates. The festival coincides with the UAE’s 54th National Day, serving as a tribute to the nation and its multicultural residents.

This year also marks a shift in venue after its 2024 staging at the Dubai Shopping Festival and the Al Rigga Night Market, with organizers describing the move to Sahara Centre as part of its expansion to engage a wider community audience.

Youth pageant to spotlight wellness and leadership

A key feature of the event is “The Search for the Prince and Princess of Shukran 2025,” a youth competition open to individuals aged 15 to 20 from all nationalities. Participants will be evaluated not only for talent and stage presence but also for their advocacy in promoting youth health and well-being.

“Shukran has grown into a tradition that unites people from all walks of life,” said Elena C. Cruz, founder and CEO of Infinite Communities. “As we celebrate our third year, we’re putting the spotlight on Youth Health and Well-Being — because empowered, healthy youth build empowered communities.”

Co-producer and community leader Josie Conlu echoed the program’s purpose, emphasizing its mission beyond pageantry. “It’s inspiring to see how Shukran has evolved into a platform for the youth to lead, express and connect,” she said. “The Prince and Princess of Shukran search is not about beauty — it’s about character, compassion and confidence.”

Winners will receive prizes and wear handcrafted crowns designed by Fab Jewellery.

Cultural events and celebrity appearance

Festival-goers can expect a lineup of live performances and activities featuring rising youth bands across the UAE, multicultural dance and stage presentations, and a special guest appearance by Kapamilya artist Bela, who is set to headline the Grand Coronation and Celebrity Night on December 13.

The finale will cap off four weekends of performances and community showcases, where the new Prince and Princess of Shukran will be crowned.

Celebrating gratitude and unity

Launched three years ago, the festival has become a community tradition centered on appreciation and inclusivity. Organizers describe the event as a tribute to the UAE’s generosity and as a platform that strengthens cultural harmony and youth leadership.

Shukran 2025 continues to position gratitude as a shared value among residents and expatriates alike, highlighting personal and community responsibility through wellness and advocacy.
