Three Filipino artists—Marc Salamat, Krissie Phee, and Aris Ventures—are among the select creatives featured in “Beyond the Pink,” a meaningful art exhibition by Sellah Global Events and Conrad Dubai. The show runs from October 9 to 31, 2025, at Level 6, Art Space, Conrad Dubai, as part of the hotel’s Conrad Art Encounters, a public art initiative dedicated to fostering creative dialogue and showcasing artistic narratives.
Curated by Lizbeth Fajardo, founder of Sellah Global Events, the exhibition is dedicated to raising awareness and hope for those affected by breast cancer. Through powerful visual storytelling, participating artists highlight courage, healing, and resilience—reminding audiences that beyond every struggle lies beauty, strength, and victory.
Fajardo said the project was made possible with the support of Michael Schmitt, General Manager of Conrad Dubai, “the visionary behind every meaningful activity happening at Conrad.”
Filipino creativity takes center stage
Representing the Philippines through TeryMari Gallery, the three Filipino artists—each with a distinct style and message—convey deep emotional perspectives aligned with the exhibition’s theme.
Aris Ventures, through her work “The Droid Fam,” interprets the theme Beyond Pink using Abstract Cubism, blending human and robotic figures to symbolize resilience, unity, and the enduring strength of communities touched by breast cancer. The geometric harmony and radiant hues of gold, crimson, and blue reflect an inclusive vision of healing and hope.
“This work is not only a celebration of survival but also a reminder that awareness transcends boundaries, honoring courage, love, and the brilliance of life itself,” Ventures noted in her artist statement.
Meanwhile, Marc Salamat’s piece “Blissful Serenity” presents a meditative escape from adversity through Surrealism. His oil-on-canvas painting, created in 2022, embodies calm and renewal, evoking peace and the quiet strength found in healing.
“To go Beyond Pink is to embrace not only courage and resilience, but also the profound serenity that allows us to rediscover joy,” Salamat shared.
For Krissie Phee, her symbolic work “Almost” captures both fragility and strength through the image of a luminous pink rose—a metaphor for hope amid struggle. The painting’s refined elegance, executed in Symbolism, pays homage to women’s courage in the face of breast cancer.
“Even in the face of uncertainty, grace and strength remain,” Phee’s statement reads, underscoring the balance between loss and renewal.
A global celebration of strength and healing
Beyond highlighting Filipino artistry, Beyond the Pink brings together a diverse group of international artists whose works explore healing, resilience, and empowerment.
Among them are Sarab Jokhadar, a Syrian-Palestinian artist known for her vibrant cityscapes, presenting “Layers of the City,” a visual metaphor for strength and hope within urban life.

Sura Al Tahhan, an Iraqi self-taught artist, shares “Window to Her,” an acrylic-on-canvas piece inspired by a woman devoted to raising orphans with love and dignity—a sanctuary of compassion captured in vivid color.

Solimar Miller’s “The Noble Ones” reflects on humanity’s interconnectedness and the healing power of nature, while Joumana Jurdi Ghazal’s “Thriving Wings” celebrates transformation and new beginnings through the graceful imagery of butterflies.

Also featured is Abeer AlEdani, an award-winning Iraqi artist globally recognized for her contributions to art and culture, alongside Asma Thabet, whose portraits of strong, dignified women honor courage and feminine resilience.

At the heart of the exhibition’s success is Sellah Global Events, led by its founder and owner Lizbeth, who curated Beyond the Pink in collaboration with Conrad Dubai. Known for championing inclusive and purpose-driven initiatives, Fajardo emphasized that the exhibition’s vision goes beyond showcasing art—it’s about creating opportunities for all kinds of creators.
“Our narrative is to welcome everyone, no partiality—whether they are professional, amateur, or even just in the mentorship stage, everyone is welcome,” Lizbeth shared with TGFM.
