Residents in the UAE can now pay government service fees in easy instalments after the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) introduced a new payment initiative to ease financial pressures.
According to Gulf News, the programme—called “The Authority at Your Service”—was unveiled on Tuesday during GITEX Global 2025. It allows customers to split payments of Dh500 or more into zero-interest instalments using credit cards from ten partner banks. The move forms part of the UAE’s “Year of the Community 2025” initiative under the theme “Hand in Hand”, which focuses on improving quality of life and community well-being.
Participating banks include First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Emirates NBD, Emirates Islamic Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Mashreq Bank, RAKBANK, and Commercial International Bank, along with Visa as a global partner. Payment terms range from three to 12 months, depending on the bank’s agreement with the customer.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, ICP Director General, said the initiative aims to help residents manage financial obligations more efficiently while maintaining their legal residency status in the UAE. “‘The Authority at Your Service’ initiative empowers customers to manage their financial commitments more efficiently, in line with the objectives of the Year of the Community 2025,” he said.
Major General Ahmed Mayouf Al Amri, acting Director General for Support Services, said the new system marks “a future where government financial transactions are part of a wider ecosystem designed to support citizens’ well-being and aspirations, rather than adding to their burdens.”
Customers can request instalments through their respective banks’ service channels or directly via Visa’s cardholder services.
