A woman in her 60s died after experiencing a medical emergency shortly after riding the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, authorities confirmed.
According to Fox News, the Anaheim Police Department said the incident occurred on the evening of October 6. “Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to the Disneyland Resort for an unresponsive woman in her 60s who had just finished riding the Haunted Mansion attraction,” police said.
Officials described it as “an unfortunate medical episode,” adding, “Our thoughts go out to the family.”
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital following the incident but was later pronounced dead. The exact cause of her death has yet to be determined.
Police confirmed there were no operational issues with the ride, which reopened shortly after the incident.
