Showbiz personality and concert producer Robby Tarroza has claimed that the late “Master Rapper” Francis Magalona and Pia Magalona may not have been legally married. Tarroza’s Facebook post dated October 21 has now gone viral, in which he suggested that Pia was previously married to a man with the last name “Lim” in the United States, with whom she had two children, Niccolo and Unna.
Tarroza, who claims to have been close to Francis and produced his concert tours, said that he was a witness to numerous confrontations between Francis and Pia. “Pia, don’t play the victim. You were never married in the Philippines!” Tarroza alleged.
According to Tarroza, in one of his final interactions with Francis, possibly around 2007, Francis confided that he had separated from Pia due to their continuous disputes. Francis had allegedly described his relationship with Pia as “destructive and dysfunctional”, staying together mainly for the sake of their children.
However, in a subsequent meeting, Francis appeared elated, mentioning a new woman in his life, presumed to be Abegail Rait. Tarroza recalled Francis describing this relationship as experiencing “real love.” He hinted that Francis and Abegail have a daughter named Gaile Francesca, born out of this deep affection.
Tarroza ended his post by urging netizens to be more compassionate towards Abegail and Gaile Francesca. He highlighted that Francis and Pia were already separated before Francis’s new relationship began. “He deserved to experience real love at least once in his lifetime,” Tarroza stated.
Francis’s Wikipedia biography notes that he and Pia were introduced by co-actor Richard Gomez and supposedly married in 1985. They had eight children, with Unna and Nicolo being from Pia’s previous relationship.
As of now, Pia has not responded to Tarroza’s claims. Her latest post includes a tender photo of Francis expressing affection towards her.
