Salik has confirmed that four categories of people of determination are eligible for exemption from paying Dubai’s road toll fees.
According to information posted on the company’s official website, individuals diagnosed with mental disability, motor disability, autism, or visual disability can apply for the toll exemption program.
To qualify, the relationship between the person of determination and the vehicle owner must fall under specific family categories, including parents, spouse, children, grandparents, siblings, or grandchildren. Proof of relationship—such as marriage or birth certificates—will be required.
Applicants must submit several documents, including a valid vehicle registration card (either in the name of the person of determination or a first- or second-degree relative), a copy of the applicant’s Emirates ID, and a valid People of Determination ID or Sanad Card issued by relevant UAE authorities. Those applying under a relative’s name must also present proof of their family relationship.
Completed applications and required documents should be emailed to specialaccounts@salik.ae. Alternatively, applicants can visit the Salik website under Salik Services → Request for Exemption from Salik Fees, or contact the 24/7 hotline at 80072545 for assistance.
Salik currently operates 10 toll gates across Dubai, including those located at Al Safa (North and South), Business Bay Crossing, Al Barsha, Al Garhoud Bridge, Al Maktoum Bridge, Al Mamzar (North and South), the Airport Tunnel, and Jebel Ali.
