More than 2,300 employment opportunities and free medical and wellness services will be offered to Filipino seafarers during the Mega Job Fair and Medical Mission on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila. The event marks the 30th National Seafarers’ Day celebration.
According to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), 21 licensed manning agencies will participate in the fair under the theme “Disenteng Trabaho Para sa Marinong Filipino 2025.” Available positions include ship officers, engineers, electricians, cooks, waiters, cruise staff, and more.
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac emphasized that the initiative is both a tribute and an opportunity for Filipino seafarers. “Ito’y pagkilala sa ating marino at pagbubukas ng bagong oportunidad para sa kanila at sa bansa,” he said.
To streamline the process, job seekers are encouraged to pre-register online at jobfairportal.dmw.gov.ph. Applicants must log in, select Seafarers’ Day Job Fair, complete pre-registration, and download a QR code or Job Fair Pass. The QR code must be presented at the registration booth and scanned before leaving the venue.
Those planning to apply are advised to bring necessary documents such as passports, resumes, diplomas, Seaman’s Books, and TESDA certificates, and prepare for on-the-spot interviews or skills tests.
