Temperatures in UAE expected to drop gradually this week

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that the UAE will experience a slight but steady drop in temperatures starting Tuesday as weak surface pressure systems interact with high pressure in the upper atmosphere.

According to the agency, maximum temperatures will range between 28°C and 45°C, while minimums will settle between 22°C and 31°C. Skies will remain clear to partly cloudy, with humidity increasing at night and early morning in coastal and inland areas. Fog or light fog may also form in certain spots.

Winds are forecast to blow from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate in strength but occasionally becoming strong during the day, reaching speeds of 10 to 25 km/h and up to 40 km/h. The sea will generally be calm to moderate, but conditions may turn rough in the Arabian Gulf by Wednesday morning, while the Sea of Oman remains calm.

For Wednesday, the NCM expects clear to partly cloudy skies with low clouds forming in eastern areas. Northwest winds will continue at similar speeds, at times raising dust. The Arabian Gulf is likely to be rough to moderate, while the Sea of Oman will stay calm to moderate.

On Thursday, skies are predicted to remain clear to partly cloudy. Winds will shift from northwest to southeast, keeping light to moderate speeds with occasional strong gusts capable of stirring dust. The Arabian Gulf is expected to be calm to moderate, while the Sea of Oman stays calm.
