The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has introduced a 24/7 WhatsApp service offering a comprehensive directory of registered medical products. This feature allows users to access detailed data on medicines, including names, active ingredients, pharmaceutical forms, packaging sizes, and selling prices in the UAE.
Unveiled at Gitex Global 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, this innovation is MoHAP’s latest stride in promoting public health awareness. The service aims to augment transparency in pharmaceuticals, enabling patients to make informed health decisions following their doctors’ guidance.
Ahmed Ali Al Dashti, assistant undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, highlighted the digital-forward initiative: “The medical products directory simplifies access for healthcare professionals, offering a unique experience in line with international best practices.” He emphasized the commitment to strengthening the community’s health and wellbeing.
