Dusty winds and scattered showers to affect parts of the UAE for 3 days

Residents across the UAE are being advised to brace for unstable weather conditions this week, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting clouds, rainfall, and dust-laden winds lasting until Thursday.

According to the NCM, the shifting weather is due to the extension of a weak surface low-pressure system from the east, combined with another system in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Temperatures will range from 30°C to 49°C at their peak, with lows between 25°C and 33°C.

On Monday, skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with occasional cloud cover in eastern and southern regions where light rain is possible. Winds blowing from the southeast to northeast may turn active at times, stirring up dust at speeds of up to 35 km/h.

By Tuesday, partly cloudy conditions are expected to persist, with afternoon cumulus clouds in the east that could bring rainfall. Winds will remain light to moderate, reaching up to 35 km/h, while the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will see regular waves.

On Wednesday, clouds are likely to intensify, again bringing chances of rain in the east. Stronger winds may blow at speeds of up to 40 km/h, raising dust and reducing visibility in some areas.

By Thursday, conditions are forecast to worsen, with clouds and rainfall extending to most parts of the country. Winds may pick up to 40 km/h, making seas moderately rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
