Palace says VP Sara will still get travel authority for future trips abroad

Malacañang will continue issuing a travel authority to Vice President Sara Duterte if she decides to travel overseas again, Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro said, following Duterte’s accusation that the Palace was fabricating stories about her trips.

Castro noted she could not confirm whether Duterte had already exceeded her mandatory vacation leave. Regardless, she said it would still be up to the Vice President to decide if she wants to go abroad. So nasa kanya po ‘yan,” she added.

Earlier, Duterte accused Malacañang of making up stories after Castro said she had heard reports of the Vice President’s plan to visit Kuwait this August, shortly after returning from the Netherlands.
