In a move to enhance the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator PY Caunan recently sat down with the Board of Directors of the Philippine Business Council (PBC) in Dubai to explore new benefits for active OWWA members.
The meeting focused on expanding the value of the OWWA eCard by securing additional perks such as discounts and exclusive offers. The eCard currently serves as a key identification and access tool for government services, but officials are looking to make it more rewarding for OFWs.
The discussion aligned with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to broaden the range of support and services available to Filipinos working abroad.
