OFW Serbisyo Caravan in Dubai to bring vital government services to Filipinos on August 3

Thousands of overseas Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates are expected to attend the upcoming OFW Serbisyo Caravan on August 3, 2025, as the Philippine government brings essential public services directly to the Filipino community in Dubai.

Set to take place at Exhibition Hall 8 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event marks the fifth leg of the Bagong Bayani ng Mundo: OFW Serbisyo Caravan, a flagship initiative of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) that supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to deliver coordinated government services closer to Filipinos abroad.

A total of 11 government agencies are joining forces to assist overseas workers with services such as legal aid, contract verification, OWWA membership and e-card issuance, psychosocial counseling, and national ID registration. Additional support will include SSS and Pag-IBIG transactions, loan consultations, business and financial literacy programs, and even franchising opportunities.

Leading the Dubai leg are DMW Undersecretaries Dominique Rubia-Tutay and Jainal T. Rasul, Assistant Secretary Venecio Legaspi, and OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan. They will be joined by Labor Attaché John Rio Bautista, Ambassador Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, and Consul General Marford Angeles.

No registration is required—services will be available to all walk-in attendees.

With approximately 700,000 Filipinos living in Dubai—making them the fourth-largest expatriate group in the emirate—organizers are expecting a strong turnout.

The Filipino Social Club (FilSoc) will also host entertainment segments for families attending the event, adding a festive touch to the day of public service.

Ahead of the main caravan, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) already held pre-event services, including ID issuance and Konsulta Program registration, from July 28 to 30.

Following successful runs in Hong Kong, Riyadh, Osaka, and Qatar, the Dubai leg further strengthens the government’s message: that no Filipino—regardless of where they are in the world—should be left behind.
