Company shut down for luring Filipinos with fake $100,000 jobs in the US

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has ordered the closure of Visa to America Manila Inc. and its nationwide branches for allegedly recruiting Filipinos for jobs abroad without a valid license.

The DMW’s Migrant Workers Protection Bureau enforced eight closure orders against the Ortigas-based company, which reportedly targeted aspiring overseas workers—particularly teachers and hospitality professionals—offering them job placements in the United States with promises of hefty salaries ranging from USD 40,000 to USD 100,000 annually.

Authorities confirmed that the company operated as a visa consultancy without the necessary accreditation to recruit workers for overseas employment.

The crackdown forms part of the Marcos administration’s ongoing campaign to shield Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from illegal recruitment schemes and human trafficking networks.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has previously emphasized the importance of protecting OFWs, calling on agencies to intensify their efforts against fraudulent recruiters.
