Philippine Embassy in UAE urges OFWs to register for overseas voting

The Philippine Embassy in the UAE has issued a reminder for OFWs to register as overseas voters.

The notice, which was posted on the Embassy’s Facebook page, indicates that the deadline for registration is September 30, 2024.

To register, all that’s needed is a valid Philippine passport.

This provides an opportunity for Filipino expats to not only register to vote in the 2025 National Elections but also to update their address, check their voter registration status, or reactivate their voter record. It’s noteworthy that voter records are deactivated if one fails to vote in two consecutive national elections.

For those interested in registering, they can do so by visiting the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

Both offices are open from Monday to Friday, operating hours being 7:30am to 3:30pm.
