Two men accused of serious cross-border crimes, including drug trafficking and attempted fraud, have been extradited by Dubai Police to French authorities, further cementing the UAE’s commitment to global law enforcement cooperation.
The suspects, both flagged by Interpol and Europol, were captured in Dubai following the issuance of international red notices. Their extradition marks the latest in a series of successful operations targeting transnational organized crime.
Dubai Police confirmed the operation was conducted in close coordination with the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Public Prosecution, and the UAE Ministry of Justice’s International Cooperation Department — the central authority for processing international arrest warrants.
Authorities revealed that the UAE has now extradited 10 individuals to France this year alone, all linked to major offenses such as murder, organized crime leadership, money laundering, armed robbery, and narcotics trafficking.
“This success was achieved through dedicated field efforts and the application of advanced technology at the Data Analysis Centre,” Dubai Police said in a statement, noting that teams from their General Department of Criminal Investigation were able to pinpoint and arrest the wanted men swiftly.
The police emphasized that such operations are part of the UAE’s broader effort to foster international collaboration, share best practices, and maintain security across borders.
