Two Filipinos found dead in Bangkok cargo container

A man and a woman of Filipino descent were tragically discovered dead inside a cargo container in Bangkok. The shipment, originally dispatched from the Philippines, docked at Laem Chabang port in Chon Buri on September 28. It then made its way to a Lad Krabang warehouse in Bangkok by train, arriving on October 2.

The unfortunate discovery was made when Thai authorities found the decaying bodies of the duo. Notably, a black t-shirt reading “Alpha Kappa Rho, Vincit Omnia Veritas” was found close by. This slogan and name are believed to be associated with a fraternity.

Ownership of the container is traced back to the Evergreen Marine Corp.

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) acknowledged the incident, stating the shipment had its origins at a port in Manila. South Harbor Port’s acting manager, Catherine Esto, mentioned in a radio interview with dzBB that the PPA plans to liaise with the Bureau of Customs for further details on the matter.
