Huawei pulled back the curtain on its latest innovations during the “Fashion Next” product launch in Dubai, spotlighting the new HUAWEI Pura 80 Series and the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5. The tech giant also confirmed the return of the XMAGE Awards to the Grand Palais in Paris for its 2025 ceremony and annual exhibition during Paris Photo.
The HUAWEI Pura 80 Series, the flagship of the brand’s mobile imaging lineup, made waves for its bold design and photography power. The Ultra variant features a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR camera and a pioneering Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera, allowing users to capture high-quality images at a range of distances with unmatched clarity and precision. Inspired by both eastern and western design elements, the series merges sophisticated color palettes with glazed texture craftsmanship.
Also unveiled was the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5, an ultra-portable tablet built for learners and young professionals. With its 11.5-inch 2.5K HUAWEI FullView Display and PaperMatte technology for eye comfort, the tablet balances style and performance. It includes a 10,100 mAh battery, third-generation M-Pencil with wireless charging, and enhanced tools like HUAWEI Notes and the GoPaint app.
In a major announcement, Huawei opened global submissions for the XMAGE Awards 2025, one of the world’s most influential mobile photography competitions. Now in its eighth year, the contest features eight creative categories and introduces the new “XMAGE 100” format, emphasizing artistry, emotion, and storytelling.
The awards will culminate at Paris Photo 2025, marking Huawei’s return to the iconic Grand Palais for the exhibition and awards ceremony themed “The World, You and Me.” The event underlines Huawei’s focus on celebrating creativity and connecting people through technology.
