In a bid to enhance its global connectivity, Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has inaugurated flights to three key destinations. The airline began its service to Dusseldorf, Germany on September 28, quickly followed by flights to Copenhagen, Denmark on September 29 and Osaka, Japan on October 1.
Along with these new destinations, Etihad also revealed an increase in flight frequencies to popular destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Colombo, Sri Lanka. This initiative is aimed at meeting the rising customer demand for travel to Abu Dhabi and enhancing Etihad’s global network.
Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, remarked, “The new flights mark our commitment to offering more travel options to our guests, facilitating easier trips to Abu Dhabi, and strengthening our global network.”
This year alone, Etihad has added nine new destinations, encompassing cities like Malaga, Mykonos, Lisbon, Kolkata, St Petersburg, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Osaka, and Boston. Further growth is anticipated, as the airline has also announced upcoming routes to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram in the Indian subcontinent, set to commence in January 2024.
