Jebel Ali Metro Station renamed to National Paints Metro Station

Commuters taking the Red Line in Dubai may need a moment to adjust—Jebel Ali Metro Station now goes by a new name. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially renamed the station to National Paints Metro Station, following a 10-year naming rights agreement with the global coatings company.

Situated in the heart of the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the station serves one of the city’s most rapidly expanding industrial hubs. This renaming is part of RTA’s broader Metro Station Naming Rights Initiative, which invites private sector partnerships to support public infrastructure.

“We are delighted to have National Paints join the Metro Station Naming Rights Initiative,” said Abdul Mohsen Kalbat, CEO of RTA’s Rail Agency. “The inclusion of this prestigious global company undoubtedly demonstrates the remarkable success achieved by this initiative.”

The transition will be gradual, with updates to signage, audio announcements, and digital platforms rolling out from July through October 2025.

National Paints’ managing director and partner, Samer Sayegh, described the deal as a major step for the company: “We are proud to secure the naming rights of a metro station that stands as a key connector in Dubai’s world-class transportation network. This milestone reflects our bold, decade-long commitment to enriching the Emirates’ urban landscape through innovative solutions, sustainability, and high-quality products.”
