The Filipino Social Club (FilSoc) is celebrating a milestone today, marking six years since it became the first and only officially recognized Filipino community group licensed by Dubai’s Community Development Authority.
On June 24, 2019, the group etched history when it was granted official recognition as a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization—an achievement that continues to empower thousands of Filipinos in the emirate.
“This was the day our Founding Members received the best gift from the Dubai Government for the Filipino community,” the group said in a heartfelt message, reflecting on the significance of its establishment.
Since its founding, FilSoc has been at the forefront of building a united and resilient Filipino community in Dubai. The group acknowledged its founding members for their passion and commitment, which laid the foundation for what has become a homegrown support network for OFWs.
