The Philippine government has raised Alert Level 3 for both Israel and Iran, advising Filipinos in the two countries to consider returning home due to rising regional conflict.
In a statement released Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed the alert level adjustment, which now calls for voluntary repatriation. “All overseas Filipinos in Israel and Iran are enjoined to return to the Philippines,” the DFA said.
The agency also strongly advised against any travel to either country, citing the “ongoing crisis” and the effective shutdown of air and sea routes.
Filipinos who wish to be repatriated are urged to get in touch with the Philippine embassies in their respective host countries for assistance.
The DFA continues to monitor developments in the region closely as tensions threaten to escalate further.
