Filipinos abroad can now call 1343 anti-trafficking hotline for free through TinBo app

In a move to protect more overseas Filipinos from the threat of human trafficking, PLDT Global has partnered with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to provide free access to the 1343 Actionline hotline through the Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo) app.

The initiative, highlighted in the second episode of The Chairman’s Report hosted by CFO Secretary Dante “Klink” Ang II, allows Filipinos abroad to reach the anti-trafficking helpline without incurring international charges. This marks a major upgrade from the previous setup, where only domestic callers in the Philippines could reach 1343 toll-free.

“This is the pride of PLDT Global because there is no company right now that is servicing the global Filipino that provides this free access through the helpline that we have which is 1343,” said PLDT Global COO Edith Gomez-Cudiamat.

Cudiamat also emphasized that TinBo, a digital lifestyle app developed by PLDT Global, was designed to meet the daily needs of the 10.6 million Filipinos living overseas. More than just a remittance tool, the app helps users support their families in real-time through food vouchers, bill payments, and now, essential services like the 1343 hotline.

Access to the hotline is made possible through Smart Virtual Number (SVN) technology, giving Filipinos abroad a digital mobile identity that unlocks TinBo’s full suite of services.

Managed by the CFO under the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, the 1343 Actionline plays a crucial role in connecting victims and concerned citizens to authorities. Its expansion through PLDT Global directly supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas vision by empowering Filipinos worldwide with inclusive and modern digital tools.
