The Department of Health has introduced a digital booking system designed to make hospital visits faster and more convenient for patients.
Through the new Patient Appointment System (PAS), individuals can now secure medical check-ups at select government hospitals in Manila without the hassle of long waits or unnecessary trips. The platform is now active for three major facilities: Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, and Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital.
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa emphasized the relief this brings, especially for those traveling far just to get checked. “Ito, at least, alam mo na hindi ka masasayangan ng pagbiyahe. Wala kang takot kasi secured na ‘yung appointment mo,” he said.
According to the DOH, booking an appointment via PAS takes only about two to three minutes through the website https://patientappointment.doh.gov.ph. Patients are advised to screenshot their confirmed appointment before heading to the hospital.
