65-year-old masseuse found dead inside trash bag in Quezon City; suspect has history of killings

A 65-year-old masseuse was found dead and stuffed in a trash bag in Quezon City, allegedly murdered by a man with a violent past, including three prior homicide cases, 24 Oras Weekend reported.

The woman was reportedly hired for a massage session by the suspect around midnight on May 13. CCTV footage later showed the man pushing a cart filled with garbage bags out of a residential compound. When he returned, the cart was empty.

Her body was discovered the next day by garbage collectors. Police investigations point to a violent altercation after the suspect allegedly became dissatisfied with the massage. They also noted that the suspect was intoxicated during the incident.

More than a week after the grisly crime, authorities arrested the 47-year-old suspect in Biñan, Laguna. Police said they recovered the victim’s bag and drug paraphernalia in his possession, along with the same cart seen in the CCTV footage—now freshly painted.

Investigators revealed that the suspect had previously been jailed for two separate killings and was facing another homicide case in Leyte for the death of a 61-year-old woman in 2018.

The suspect confirmed the victim entered his residence but declined to give more details. Police said he later admitted to killing the woman in a fit of rage.

Grieving over her sister’s death, the victim’s sibling shared the heartbreak of only reuniting with her after seven years—at her funeral. She vowed to pursue justice.

The suspect is now under police custody and faces charges of murder.
