Fire erupts in Dubai residential tower in early hours of Monday
A residential tower in Dubai Sports City faced an alarming situation in the early hours of Monday as a medium-intensity blaze broke out, necessitating the evacuation of its inhabitants. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries.
The fire incident was reported shortly after 4 am, and thanks to the swift response from the Dubai Civil Defence, firefighters from Al Barsha station were on the scene in under six minutes.
They managed to safely evacuate all the tenants from the affected building.
Additional emergency personnel from two other fire stations were also dispatched to assist in controlling the blaze.
By 5:23 am, the firefighters succeeded in bringing the fire under control and extinguishing it a little over an hour after it was initially reported.
The Dubai Civil Defence stated that cooling operations were in progress, after which the site would be turned over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
