What began as a small venture with just three employees has flourished into a thriving business empire. Pinas Cargo, the flagship enterprise of the Pinas Group of Companies, recently celebrated its 11th anniversary with a lavish Grand Ball-themed party at the Grand Hyatt Hotel-Dubai.
From its humble beginnings, the vision of founder and CEO Marlyn Castro has expanded into six diverse businesses—Pinas Cargo, Pinas Spa and Beauty Center, Pinas Travel, Pinas Gold, Pinas Petals and Blooms, and Pinas Cleaning Solutions. Today, the group employs 150 dedicated staff members.
The anniversary celebration was marked with grandeur. Employees were recognized with Loyalty Awards, Performance Awards, and Citations, while lucky attendees walked away with major raffle prizes, including two 65” televisions, a refrigerator, and various home appliances.
For Ms. Castro, who was once a scholar herself, education remains a core value. The company’s scholarship program continues to grow, now benefiting more than a dozen scholars, with two more added this year.
Dignitaries gracing the event included H.E. Alfonso Ferdinand Ver, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE; Consul General Marford Angeles; Vice Consul Jim Jimeno; Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio Bautista; and other Filipino community leaders.
