Philippine Ambassador urges Filipinos in UAE to vote on final day of online voting

Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Alfonso Ferdinand Ver has made a heartfelt appeal to Filipinos in the UAE, urging them to seize the opportunity to vote online before the deadline at 3:00 PM UAE time on May 12, 2025. In a social media post, Ambassador Ver emphasized the importance of participating in this “historic” online voting process.

Ambassador Ver shared that he and his wife Caroline have already cast their votes, highlighting that they participated in the online voting process as a testament to its simplicity and security.

He further explained his decision to vote on the very first day of the online voting period, which began on April 13. He clarified that this was not for recognition, but to show confidence in the system.

The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi are also providing assistance for those who may encounter difficulties. Filipinos who have not yet voted are encouraged to cast their ballots online at https://ov.comelec.gov.ph/vote until 3:00 PM UAE time.
