Actor Alden Richards has officially taken off on a new personal milestone, starting his pilot training at an aviation school in Clark, Pampanga.
Richards recently gave fans a glimpse of this fresh chapter through photos shared online, showing him at Alpha Aviation Group in Mabalacat. In one image, he stood proudly in front of a flight simulator with the words “ready for training” beside him. Another photo showed him seated in the cockpit alongside another trainee, hinting at the start of hands-on sessions.
“Reaching new heights, one flight at a time,” Richards captioned the post.
The actor, known for his work on television and film, previously revealed he had received a scholarship from an aviation school in Clark, although he had kept details under wraps until his training officially commenced.
“It has been my dad’s dream. Sabi ko, ‘Sige dad since medyo 59, 58 ka na ako na lang. Hopefully kung kaya this year matapos ko ‘yung course, then lipad lipad na tayo,’” Richards shared in an earlier interview, expressing hopes of completing the course within the year.
Richards is the latest celebrity to pursue aviation, following in the footsteps of fellow actor Xian Lim, who recently earned his private pilot’s license.
Outside of flying, Richards has also embraced other fitness passions such as marathon running and cycling.
