DreamWorks to release Philippine mythology-inspired animated film in 2026

DreamWorks Animation is set to explore Filipino culture on the big screen with its upcoming animated movie Forgotten Island, set for release on September 25, 2026.

Directed by Januel Mercado, the film is described as a comedy-adventure that will take audiences to a mysterious and magical island steeped in Philippine mythology. While the studio has yet to reveal more about the characters and storyline, anticipation is already building among fans of animated films and Filipino folklore.
