Former NorthPort player John Amores has found a new passion and source of income after his stint in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) came to an end.
Amores recently announced on Facebook the opening of his basketball clinic, AA Basketball Camp, located at CLA Mall in Pagsanjan, Laguna. The camp offers fundamental and skill development drills, basketball scrimmages, and agility and physical conditioning programs.
His PBA career was cut short after the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) revoked his professional license in December 2024. This decision followed his involvement in a reported shooting incident in Lumban, Laguna, in September 2024, alongside his brother. The altercation, which stemmed from a dispute in a local league, escalated to the point where Amores allegedly chased his opponent.
Although Amores and his brother were able to post bail, they are still facing an attempted homicide case.
