President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has warned the public to stay vigilant against the spread of fake news, disinformation, and misinformation as the campaign period for the upcoming May national and local elections intensifies.
In his weekly vlog on Sunday night, Marcos reminded Filipinos to carefully assess the accuracy of information they encounter, particularly online, where misleading content tends to circulate more during election season.
The President has recently participated in campaign rallies supporting Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas, a group he is endorsing. During a speech on Friday, he also encouraged voters to back candidates committed to continuing the government’s programs.
Kampanya man o hindi, walang pipigil sa pagseserbisyo ng ating pamahalaan,” he said.
