Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo’s girlfriend, content creator Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose, defended herself against online criticism after she posted a heartfelt birthday message for him.
In a social media post, Chloe expressed her love and admiration for Yulo on his 25th birthday, writing, “To my favourite person in the universe and my heart’s biggest blessing, happy 25th birthday mahal ko Carlos 🥳🎂.”
However, her post drew backlash from a netizen who questioned why she was celebrating Yulo’s birthday amid his publicized family rift. The comment read, “Wala kang pagmamahal sa mga magulang mo so why do you celebrate your birthday? Seriously!”
Chloe fired back with a sarcastic response: “I didn’t realize birthdays were exclusive to people with a perfect family record lol.” She further added, “Should Carlos submit an application for approval next time? Or maybe just stop existing altogether since that would be more convenient for you 🤡💀.”
The exchange comes amid Yulo’s ongoing dispute with his mother, Anjelica Yulo, over financial matters and personal differences.
