Some workers in this emirate to get 20% salary increase

Fujairah’s government employees are set to receive a 20 per cent salary increase, as ordered by Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah and Supreme Council Member. The pay raise will take effect on February 1, 2025.

The decision reflects Sheikh Hamad’s commitment to enhancing job stability and strengthening the financial well-being of public sector employees. It also aligns with Fujairah’s vision to ease financial burdens and improve the standard of living for workers and their families.

The announcement comes amid growing expectations of salary hikes across the UAE. A survey by Hays GCC Salary Guide 2025 found that 74 per cent of employees in the country expect a raise this year, with nearly half already receiving salary increases in 2024, mostly ranging between 2.5 per cent and 5 per cent.

Meanwhile, industries like artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity are expected to see the most significant pay raises in 2025, as demand for skilled professionals in these fields continues to rise.
