Travelers looking to explore Palawan will soon have an easier way to get there, as Cebu Pacific announced new daily flights from Clark International Airport to El Nido and Coron (via Busuanga), set to begin on March 30, 2024.
Xander Lao, the airline’s president and chief commercial officer, highlighted Clark’s growing role as a key entry point for tourists eager to discover the Philippines’ natural beauty and cultural heritage.
“We are committed to making travel more accessible, convenient, and memorable, ensuring every Juan can discover the unparalleled beauty of the Philippines,” Lao said.
The move aligns with the directive to shift turboprop operations from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to Clark and other secondary airports to ease congestion. Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) executive Atty. Manuel Jeffrey David previously stated that relocating these aircraft will free up flight slots at NAIA, allowing airlines to deploy larger planes that can carry more passengers.
In addition to the Palawan routes, Cebu Pacific is also transferring its Manila-Masbate and Manila-Siargao flights to Clark.
