Student accuses traffic officer of rape in General Santos City

A police master sergeant from the Traffic Enforcement Unit in General Santos City is under investigation following rape allegations by a 17-year-old student. According to the victim’s statement, the incident occurred early Thursday morning at a police bunkhouse.

The student reported that while returning home from Barangay Bula with friends, the officer offered her a ride. Instead of taking her home, she claims he drove her to a police bunkhouse where the assault took place.

Police Regional Office-12 officials have detained the accused officer for questioning. General Santos City Police Director Col. Nicomedes Olaivar confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
