Rufa Mae Quinto recently expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Willie Revillame, who extended financial support by giving her ₱1 million during her legal ordeal related to an alleged investment scam involving a skincare company she endorsed.
Quinto shared her appreciation during her guest appearance on Revillame’s television show Wil to Win on Monday, Jan. 13.
“Maraming salamat for giving me help, help, hooray!” she told Revillame, addressing both him and the studio audience. She highlighted that Revillame’s generosity wasn’t limited to others but extended to her as well.
The actress-comedian recalled how their paths crossed at a restaurant shortly after her release from National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) custody. During the encounter, Revillame offered her the significant financial assistance, citing concern for her well-being.
Quinto, who is facing 14 counts of violating the Securities Regulation Code, voluntarily surrendered to the NBI upon her arrival in the Philippines from the United States on Jan. 8. She was released on Jan. 9 after posting bail of ₱1.7 million.
In her signature comedic style, Quinto joked about the situation, saying, “Hindi nila ako pinatakas. Talagang bawal ang eskapo,” before affirming her resolve to focus on positivity and restart her life.
Quinto emphasized that her visit to Revillame’s show was not only to publicly thank him but to assure the audience that she remains optimistic and ready to move forward.
