Dubai residents can now pay for e-scooters using Nol cards

Dubai residents can now use their Nol cards to pay for RTA-accredited e-scooters, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Tuesday. The initiative supports the emirate’s push toward a cashless economy and enhanced connectivity.

To make payments, users must download the app of the accredited e-scooter provider, where they can link their Nol card using NFC technology. Packages such as hourly, daily, or monthly rides are available for selection within the app.

Salahuddin Al Marzooqi, Director of Automated Collection Systems at RTA, explained that the integration of Nol cards into e-scooter payments has been rolled out in key areas, especially near public transport stations. “This initiative aligns with RTA’s vision of promoting seamless first and last-mile connectivity, offering users a convenient and efficient payment method,” he said.

Beyond e-scooters, Nol cards can also be used for public transport and at various merchants across Dubai, including pharmacies and petrol stations, as listed on the RTA’s website.
