Malaysia ranked 20th on the overall list of best destinations for quiet retreats, earning high scores for its serene outdoor spaces, wellness activities, and biodiversity. Despite minor setbacks, such as crowd density and traffic concerns, Malaysia’s natural beauty and tranquil environment made it a standout choice.
Notably, Malaysia also secured eighth place in the report’s Best Holiday Destinations for Safety category, backed by its strong position in the Global Peace Index, where it ranked 10th globally and third in Asia for 2024.
Travelers seeking a peaceful escape can explore Malaysia’s lush landscapes, including breathtaking spots like Lata Iskandar in Cameron Highlands, which has been lauded by Travel + Leisure for its captivating waterfalls and natural charm.
Globally, Australia claimed the top spot for the most peaceful and serene retreats, followed by Canada, Iceland, Finland, and New Zealand.
