TGFM to host transformative events for OFWs in Dubai and Qatar in 2025

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) continue to play a vital role in the Philippine economy, sending home over $36 billion in annual remittances. Beyond financial contributions, OFWs are celebrated for their resilience, talent, and cultural impact across the globe. With more than 2.2 million OFWs worldwide, the UAE and Qatar host some of the largest Filipino communities in the Middle East, with over 700,000 in the UAE and 260,000 in Qatar.

Recognizing their invaluable contributions, The Global Filipino Magazine (TGFM) is set to launch a series of transformative events in Dubai and Qatar throughout 2025. These quarterly gatherings aim to celebrate OFW excellence, promote financial growth, encourage entrepreneurship, and advocate for holistic well-being.

Celebrating OFW excellence and fostering growth

The events, tailored to empower and uplift OFWs, include the following:

  • Icons Awards (February 2025)

TGFM will kick off the year with a gala event honoring outstanding OFWs in business, media, and community service. The event aims to inspire attendees and foster connections among dignitaries, influencers, and industry leaders.

  • Real Estate and Investment Expo (May 2025)

Designed to guide OFWs in building wealth, this expo will feature property developers, workshops on housing loans, and strategies for securing financial stability.

  • Business and Franchise Expo (August 2025)

This vibrant expo will highlight entrepreneurial opportunities, offering resources, panel discussions, and advice from successful OFW entrepreneurs.

  • Health, Wealth, and Wellness Expo (November 2025)

Closing the year, TGFM will host a wellness-focused event, providing free consultations, fitness sessions, and practical strategies for managing physical and financial well-being.

Empowering OFWs through partnerships

TGFM invites brands to join these initiatives, offering sponsors a chance to connect with a highly engaged Filipino audience. Benefits include premium visibility, speaking opportunities, and inclusion in TGFM’s magazine and digital platforms.
