UAE breaks Guinness World Record for 11.1km fireworks chain during 53rd National Day

Al Ain City has achieved a new Guinness World Record with the longest chain of fireworks, stretching 11.1 kilometers, during the UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations on December 2, 2024.

The dazzling display, organized by Al Ain City Municipality, unfolded over just 50 seconds with fireworks launched from 51 platforms.

This marks the second Guinness World Record for the municipality in 2024, following their achievement of creating the largest bouquet of flowers in February.

Earlier this year, Ras Al Khaimah also set two Guinness World Records on New Year’s Day with an eight-minute fireworks and drone show. These titles were for the ‘Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks’ (5.8km) and the ‘Longest straight-line drones display’ (2km).

Ras Al Khaimah had similarly made history in 2023 with its pyro-musical show, securing records for the largest aerial sentence formed by drones and the highest number of drones synchronized with fireworks.
