Actor Archie Alemania has yet to publicly respond to the act of lasciviousness complaint filed against him by fellow Kapuso star Rita Daniela. Meanwhile, his wife, Gee Canlas, captured public attention with a cryptic post hinting at “truth.”
“The truth doesn’t need defending; it speaks for itself,” Canlas shared on her Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 17, adding in her caption, “All will be answered in due time.” The post did not include further details but drew supportive comments from her followers.
The complaint, filed on Oct. 30 before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Bacoor City, stemmed from an alleged incident last September. Daniela claimed that Alemania had kissed and touched her without consent after a work gathering. The two had worked together on the GMA series “Widows’ War.”
Lascivious conduct, as defined under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code, involves non-consensual acts such as touching certain body parts and carries a penalty of six months and one day to six years in prison.
Alemania, while not addressing the matter publicly, reportedly denied the allegations in a conversation with veteran columnist Cristy Fermin. According to Fermin, the actor plans to file a counter-affidavit in response to Daniela’s complaint, though this remains unconfirmed by Alemania himself.
