Brazilian model-actress Daiana Menezes recently opened up about a deeply personal and painful experience she faced while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Amid her battle with stage 2B breast cancer, Daiana suffered a miscarriage, losing what would have been her first child.
In an interview with content creator and showbiz writer Kuya Morly Alinio, Daiana shared, “I got pregnant but unfortunately I lost my baby nu’ng pang-four months na ako. Malaki na pero I lost my baby.” She recounted that while some believed the loss might have been due to her cancer treatment, she felt it was related to the medications she was taking. “My baby during…when I found out had no lymphs. So my baby was incomplete talaga…hindi siya nabuo and the organs ay nakadikit,” she revealed.
Despite the immense challenges of fighting cancer and dealing with the emotional pain of her miscarriage, Daiana has emerged stronger. She is now cancer-free, having completed extensive treatment, and has become an inspiration for many Filipinos currently battling cancer.
Her family, close friends, and her mother, along with her current partner, played significant roles in supporting her through her health challenges.
When asked if she still dreams of having a child now that she has conquered cancer, Daiana expressed acceptance: “Hindi ko na siya pinangarap kasi for me, kung bibigyan ni Lord, go lang. Pero kung hindi, okay lang din mag-e-enjoy tayo.”
