Dubai’s Emirates named best global airline by travelers

Dubai’s flagship carrier, Emirates, has been crowned the “best airline in the world” at the prestigious ULTRAs 2024 Awards, following a vote from a global network of discerning travelers. The accolade reflects the airline’s consistent commitment to exceptional products, innovative services, and outstanding value for passengers.

Recognized as the world’s largest international airline, Emirates topped a list of 90 global airlines during the award ceremony held in London. Over the past year, the airline has secured more than 20 awards across the aviation and travel industry, highlighting areas such as its renowned in-flight entertainment system and its Premium Economy Class.

Emirates also placed as a runner-up for both the best first-class service, behind Singapore Airlines, and best Premium Economy Class, which was won by Virgin Atlantic.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the dedication of the airline’s staff. “We’re delighted to be recognised as ‘Best Airline in the World’ by the prestigious ULTRAs. Our investments in product and services, in our people, training and technology, all aim to elevate the travel experience so our customers truly ‘fly better’,” Clark said. He highlighted the airline’s ambitious refurbishment programme involving over 200 aircraft to enhance customer experience even further.

In addition, Dubai International Airport was acknowledged as a runner-up in the “best airport in the world” category, trailing behind Singapore Changi Airport.
