Saudi Arabia opens luxury destination with hotels, dining, and yachting on the Red Sea

Saudi Arabia’s groundbreaking development, NEOM, has officially opened Sindalah, a luxury island destination on the Red Sea, with high-end hotels, restaurants, and yacht berths. The opening signifies NEOM’s first tangible project, presenting a premier gateway to the Red Sea designed to attract yacht owners from Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

“NEOM is committed to supporting the Kingdom’s new era of luxury tourism, with the opening of Sindalah,” stated NEOM CEO Nadhmi al-Nasr, highlighting the project as an initial showcase of NEOM’s broader vision.

Spread across 840,000 square meters, Sindalah aims to welcome up to 2,400 guests per day by 2028, with the first wave of visitors already invited to experience the island. This milestone, first announced by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2022, reflects NEOM’s dedication to transforming ambitious tourism goals into reality under Saudi Vision 2030.
