Sharjah has announced new operating hours for paid parking in seven-day zones, effective from Wednesday, November 1. These designated areas, marked by blue parking signs, will now require payment from 8 a.m. until midnight daily, extending from the previous end time of 10 p.m.
The 16-hour paid parking schedule will be enforced throughout the week, including public holidays, with Sharjah City Municipality noting that the measure aims to improve parking availability and efficiency. Blue and white curb markings identify these spaces, alongside signage detailing applicable fees.
For frequent users, Sharjah offers prepaid parking subscriptions, providing a flexible alternative to daily parking fees. Individuals and businesses can choose a subscription covering either all areas or two specific zones within Sharjah. Costs vary based on subscription type and duration, ranging from Dh170 for 10 days to Dh2,850 for a year.
Business subscriptions provide unrestricted parking access city-wide.
