Dubai to reward public transport users with 1 million Nol points and cash prizes

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to celebrate its 15th Public Transport Day with exciting prizes, including one million Nol Plus points and cash rewards. The event will run from October 28 to November 1, with activities and competitions promoting the use of public transport in Dubai.

This year’s theme, ‘Good for you, Great for Dubai,’ aims to encourage residents and visitors to embrace public transport options, such as the metro, tram, buses, marine transport, and alternative mobility methods like bicycles and e-scooters. The initiative seeks to enhance the quality of life in the city while highlighting the benefits of sustainable transport.

A variety of competitions will take place, with six categories recognizing the most frequent public transport users. Categories include the most frequent rider during the event week, the most frequent RTA employee user, and the most frequent People of Determination user. Newly introduced categories this year include the most frequent user since Public Transport Day’s inception in 2009, the most frequent senior citizen, and the most frequent student.

Winners will be crowned ‘Public Transport Champion,’ with first-place earning 1 million Nol+ points, second-place receiving 500,000 points, and third-place getting 250,000 points.

Additionally, the ‘Mysterious Man Challenge,’ held in collaboration with Arabian Radio Network, will give participants the chance to win Dh10,000 daily from October 30 to November 1. A special prize of a 50g gold bar and Dh10,000 will also be awarded on Public Transport Day, November 1.
