A 51-year-old Filipino accountant, Jordan Odchique, living in the UAE for 15 years, recently won a 24K gold bar valued at Dh80,000 in the Big Ticket daily draw on October 15. Odchique, who has been participating in the country’s longest-running raffle since 2020, was elated upon receiving the news of his win.
“It felt too good to be true,” Odchique was quoted as saying in an Expat Media report, adding that while he is still deciding what to do with the prize, he plans to keep buying Big Ticket raffle tickets.
He is among several October winners, including Dubai-based Ameer Thoppil Abdulkareem and Abu Dhabi-based Bibymon Kunjachen, who also won gold bars. Big Ticket’s month-long promotion will end with a Dh20 million grand prize draw on November 3, alongside a Range Rover Velar giveaway.
