The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi has officially welcomed Mr. Arvic V. Arevalo as the new Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General. A seasoned career diplomat, Mr. Arevalo brings extensive experience in Middle East affairs, having previously held key positions in the Philippine Embassies in Jordan and Oman.
Before his appointment in Abu Dhabi, Mr. Arevalo served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary and Executive Director of the Department Legislative Liaison Unit at the Department of Foreign Affairs. He holds a Master’s degree in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines, where his study on defense diplomacy in the Gulf earned him recognition. Additionally, he is a reservist Lieutenant Colonel in the Philippine Army.
Mr. Arevalo’s expertise and background are expected to enhance the embassy’s diplomatic efforts in the UAE.
